About Purple and Violet Table Runners

The pale lavenders read almost grey in daylight and turn properly purple under a lamp, which makes them one of the few shades that behave differently at lunch and at dinner. Aubergine is the opposite: it is near-black until light hits it, then it is unmistakable. Velvet exaggerates both effects.

It goes with grey, with brass and with warm wood. It fights with orange timber, so check your table in daylight first.
