About Table Runners
All of them come in two fabrics and three lengths. The quilted cotton has a bound edge and a little loft, so it grips a wooden table and does not slide when someone leans on it. The velvet is smooth and catches the light, which suits a darker room and an evening table. Lengths are 48, 72 and 108 inches, all 14 inches wide, so there is a size for a console, a six-seat dining table and a kitchen island.
The design is printed edge to edge, which means the pattern runs the full length of the cloth rather than sitting as a motif in the middle with blank ends. The print is in the fibre rather than on top of it, so it does not crack or peel with washing.
